What is being Merry for a Christmas?

before i lose the hang of blogging, let me say some things christmas doesnt feel like it at all this year, there’s no hype within me actually i didnt even plan any gifts/cards and i only realised christmas is just.. 6 days away ? im finding it hard to reason out why people make this occassion so commercialised. Oh finally a time to give us another day to partaye and fellowship in earthly possesions yeah Do we exactly know christ in the word we so often mention- CHRISTMAS not ?? this christmas feels different because i didnt make it a point where i diedie must plan a party for all of us to come together and chill. God didnt allow for the time this year because we all have work commitments, nonetheless i’m thankful because i can really enjoy christmas proper and with the right intentions

this was the song we sang for the people for the christmas outreach on sunday i heard it in primary school, or secondary school im sure we all sang it in chapel svcs

We are the reason- David Meece, 1991

As little children, we would dream of Christmas morn
And all our gifts and toys, we knew we’d find,
But we never realized, a baby boy one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives.

We are the reason that He gave His life
We are the reason Jesus suffered and died,
To a world that was lost, He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live.

As the years went by, we learned more of our gifts
And giving of ourselves and what that means,
On a dark and cloudy day, a man hung dying in the rain
Because of love, because of love, because of love…

We are the reason that He gave His life
We are the reason Jesus suffered and died,
To a world that was lost, He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live

anyway if there should be anything on my head right now it should be to clear up my room and of course to get back to my habit of doing QT sian okay I get disrupted just because of work Discipline, who already got it?
