9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. 10 But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him. 11 Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today.
God is Faithful, we be Faithful. Abraham was willing to go all out for God. He remembered God’s faithfulness and trusted in Him for provision and sustainence. Can we say that of ourselves?
I realised how shameless I have been in disregarding God’s faithfulness to me all these months.. The past week has been tremendously taxing and it got me worrying to my bones having to deal with coming to terms with my supervisors’ resignation to forgoing my mid-year plans to being challenged into something I was unwilling to. The self-doubt and lack of confidence showed in my face, words and actions and yet He placed beloved friends and even a stranger to encourage and spur me on with faith and hard work. He is faithful.
Deut was preached today and I got smacked in my face for I was only running to God for an answer and grace to carry me through without remembering how He has already been carrying me through. I am reminded that He is faithful.
I am not trying to say that life really sucks but I am summarising this for myself today because I think all of us need to remember that God is faithful and we have every reason to be faithful too. God is faithful and his faithfulness endures forever.
Cheers to a rewarding May 2018.
